Police in Guam have launched a public appeal in effort to track a man they believe kidnapped and raped an 11-year-old girl.

KU-AM television news reports William Isezaki San Nicolas, who is 59, is wanted in connection with the abduction, which police say took place at knifepoint.

The girl was abducted early on Sunday morning and found walking in the Mangilao area later the same day.

Police are continuing to investigate last month's abduction of a nine-year-old girl in Tumon.

Sergeant Art Paulino the Guam Police Department says investigators continue following leads looking for the man who kidnapped the girl at knifepoint.
