The party of the Solomon Islands prime minister, Sir Allan Kemakeza, is expected to launch its election platform today.
The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation reports the Peoples Alliance Party will also elect of new office bearers.
They include the treasurer, committee members, and general secretary, a post currently held by the former Governor-General, Sir George Lepping.
Sir Allan, the leader of the party's parliamentary wing, says this position will be chosen by party MPs after next year's general election.
