A court in Hawaii has sentenced two top officials from American Samoa to jail terms.
The former Director of Education Doctor Sili Sataua was sentenced to 30 months in prison, while the former Deputy Director of Human and Social Services, Patolo Mageo, received a jail term of 15 months in prison.
In January, Sili pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to commit bribery and fraud concerning federal programmes.
