A leading French broadcaster has visited Solomon Islands to assess the feasibility of establishing a public television service.
The Association for International Broadcasting says the director of Canal France International, Guy Muller, has visited Honiara where he met the general manager of the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation.
Mr Muller is quoted as saying he wants to organise a feasibility study for launching a public TV service dedicated to the local population.
