A Papua New Guinea company, Madang-based Bismarck Barramundi plans to venture into pond-based prawn farming.
The company , established in 2001, has been culturing barramundi in open sea cages, a technique based and modified from successful Australian technology.
Bismark currently exports approximately 1,000 kilos of filleted barramundi every quarter most of it to Australia..
