Samoa's Opposition leader, Le Mamea Ropati, is demanding an answer from the government on who'll own the remaining two per cent of the newly-merged airline Polynesia Blue.

The airline is the union of Polynesian Airlines and the low budget Australian carrier Virgin Blue.

The Samoa Government and Virgin Blue will have 49 per cent each, with the remaining two per cent to be held by local shareholders.

But Le Mamea said that government should disclose who these shareholders will be.

The new airline will launch services next month and is about to begin accepting bookings.
