Papua New Guinea's governor of Madang, James Yali, says China has agreed to go into partnership with PNG on various business projects.

Governor James Yali was updating local businessmen and leaders on recent talks with China, and progress towards the start of the projected Ramu nickel mine.

The National newspaper reports Mr Yali as saying other deals involved creating a marine park facility, exploring limestone mining, setting up a cement factory and a gas pipeline to support the northern part of the country.

Mr Yali says a Chinese delegation is expected to visit Madang in a month to follow up on the deals signed in China.
