A middle ranking Fiji police officer has refused to reconcile with two senior officers who assaulted him during a Christmas party last year.

Inspector Jone Baravi has told the Lautoka magistrate's court he wants to pursue the prosecution of the Divisional Police Commander Western, Senior Superintendent Eroni Antonio, and the Divisional Crime Officer Western, Sur Sen.

Antonio has pleaded not guilty to three charges of assaulting Inspector Baravi while Sen has pleaded not guilty to one charge.

The assaults allegedly took place at the Lautoka Police station.

The criminal case will be called again next week.

Meanwhile, the Police Professional Standards Unit has also begun investigating the two officers.
