In Papua New Guinea, an APEC scheme to accredit bona fide business people wanting to do business there, has been approved.
Under the scheme, those accredited will be issued the APEC Business Travel Card which will serve as their passport to doing business in any of the APEC-member countries.
The National quotes the prime minister, Sir Michael Somare, as saying the scheme is a significant step in streamlining entry into PNG for business people.
