One of Fiji's two domestic airlines, Sun Air, plans to buy five more planes over the next 12 months to expand its fleet.

The Fiji Times reports that the first of these, a Brazilian-built Bandeirante, will arrive in two weeks while the addition of all five will boost capacity by 75 per cent.

The owner and operator of Sun Air, Don Collingwood, is quoted as saying business is now at pre-coup levels and increasing.

Sun Air also operates the Pacific Flying School at Nadi International Airport which has trained more than 200 local pilots.
