Gold buyers in Honiara are being warned to look out for a group of people who are selling false gold nuggets that are really brass.
The Solomon Island Broadcasting Corporation says the latest victim was a shop owner in Honiara who bought what appeared to look like genuine gold nuggets.
It reports that those being duped appear to be buying without a license to buy or export gold.
