Papua New Guinea's parliament has been adjourned for three months because of concerns about the security of MPs
Both the opposition - who are still boycotting the House - and the government have accused each other of bringing guns into parliament.
The Post-Courier newspaper reports that parliamentary security guards say they
have seen members carrying high-powered weapons but have so far refused to identify the MPs involved.
Parliament is set down to resume on November the 2nd for the traditional budget session.
