The Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority has collected almost 270-million US dollars for the government in the first six months of this year.

This was 12-million US dollars above its target for the period.

Once again most of the revenue came from the 12-point-5% Value Added Tax charged on all goods and services and which amounted to 108-million US dollars.

Income tax collections came to 81-million US dollars while customs duties amounted to 80-million dollars.
