Police have killed one man and 51 people have been injured as a tribal clash in the Indonesian province of Papua continued into a second day
An activist from the Els-ham human rights group, Dias Gwiiangge, says paramilitary police opened fire to separate more than 100 Nduga and Damal tribesmen, who were fighting with bows and arrows near the town of Timika.
The latest fatality is the continuation of a conflict which erupted last month when four people died in inter-tribal fighting sparked by the killing of a Damal man.
