A church school in American Samoa is closed today after the teachers stayed away because they had not been paid yesterday.
The principal of Kananafou Elementary School, Katerina Su'a, regretted the action and says the paychecks arrived last night.
She says the teachers have been called in to pick up their bi-weekly pay today and school for the 350 pupils will resume tomorrow.
