American Samoa to use grant to fight AIDS

American Samoa is planning to use a special grant to gather HIV information.

Congressman Faleomavaega Eni Hunkin said that although American Samoa might not have a high number of HIV/Aids cases, there was a need for on-going aids prevention programmes.

The fifty thousand dollar grant from the federal department of Human and Social Services will also be used to provide outreach to HIV positive individuals.
