Fiji's commerce industry has warned that unauthorised use of the "Made in Fiji" emblem will incur fines.
The ministry has issued the warning following reports that some traders are using the emblem without proper authority and in some cases for goods manufactured outside Fiji.
It says the illegal use of the emblem will lead to prosecutions under the Fair Trading Decree and fines.
The emblem is only authorised for use after a product has received government approval and is of good quality.
