It has been revealed in the Solomon Islands parliament that Taiwan has been providing around ten thousand US dollars a month to directly fund a Think Tank working out of the Prime Minister's Office.

The Prime Minister Sir Allen Kemakeza revealed the amount of funding in reply to a question on the administration of the unit.

The think tank provides policy advice directly to the Prime Minister on a range of issues.

The Prime Minister's Special Advisor and a member of the Think Tank, Robert Goh, was shot last year by gunmen outside his residence.
