The National Disaster Council in Solomon Islands says conflict continues on the Weather Coast in Guadalcanal, and hundreds of refugees are unlikely to return home despite the arrest of rebel leader Harold Keke.
About 2,000 displaced Weather Coast people have been in and around Honiara for weeks.
Loti Yates from the Disaster Council says there is ongoing conflict there.
"The disagreements on certain issues are still there. Therefore it will take time for these people to come back to talking terms and having to understand what is happening etc."
