The body of the American Samoan Staff Sergeant Salamo Tuialu'ulu'u who was killed in Iraq two weeks ago is expected to be flown home tomorrow night.
His wife Andrea and their daughter, along with Brigadier General Robert Davis and an army honour guard will accompany his body.
The Governor Togiola Tulafono and First Lady Maryanne will also be on the same flight.
A public memorial service for Salamo will take place at the Samoana High School gym this weekend where government leaders, army officials and the community will pay their respects.
Salamo will be laid to rest at his home in Tau, Manu'a next Tuesday.
The 23-year-old, was killed when enemy fire struck his Stryker military vehicle during convoy operations in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on the fourth of this month.
