A damaged Indonesian ferry with 11 people on board has washed ashore in Palau.
The small vessel was hit by a storm seven days earlier and drifted almost one-thousand kilometres east into a mangrove in Aimeliik State.
Among the passengers were three infants suffering from dehydration who were taken to hospital.
The community is taking care of the stranded group, with the Palau Bureau of Immigration saying it may take a month to repair the boat.
In May, three Indonesians in a canoe drifted ashore and a Palauan official says they could only be repatriated after three months, by which time their families had held their funeral.
