The Solomon Islands government is drawing up a policy paper on national conflict resolution and management.
The Minister for National Unity, Reconciliation and Peace, Nathaniel Waena, made the announcement during the National Unity Summit

"He said the policy will cover issues related to internal and external armed insurgencies, negotiable demands, cross-cultural conflicts and conflicts specific to a particular culture. He said this would ensure the state can address conflicts and disputes effectively. The policy is to be put to the cabinet soon for endorsement."
