Recent statistics from Papua New Guinea's National Aids Council shows a growing number of tuberculosis patients with HIV/AIDS.

The council's medical advisor, Joachim Pantumari says twenty percent of TB patients at the Port Moresby General Hospital are HIV positive.

Speaking before the Churches Medical Council of PNG, Mr Pantumari says the statistics were gathered from a surveillance study of the 300 patients in the hospital's TB clinic.
