A second round of talks is being held in New Zealand this afternoon between Niue's premier and the finance minister with government officials.

Niue's High commissioner, Hima Douglas, says on the agenda will be proposals put to New Zealand earlier this year about investing in tourism, fishing and the cultivation of vanilla.

"Premier Vivian and the Finance Minister are in Wellington at this time to follow up on their talks held in March this year. This time they're here to meet with the Associate Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Marion Hobbs, and also Minister Jim Anderton."
