Health authorities in Niue have put a Filipino woman in quarantine for fear she may carry the SARS virus.
The woman had arrived in Niue via Singapore which is one of the countries affected by SARS.
The move has been taken as a precaution and is in line with Niue's policy to place anybody in quarantine who has visited an area declared by the World Health Organisation as SARS affected.
The chief medical officer, Gary Mitchell, says the woman, who is an agriculture consultant, shows no sign of having the virus.
She has agreed to being confined to the island's top resort for 10 days and hopes to start workshops next week.
Niueans are advised not to travel to SARS-affected countries.
