A report from Fiji says a statement released yesterday by CJ Patel chief executive, Sundip Patel condemns claims that his company backed the May 2000 coup
Mr Patel says the company has initiated a 50 million dollar damages claim against the Fiji Daily Post and its publisher.for stating on its front page "Punjas, CJ Patel paid for coup"
The damages claim is believed to be the largest ever lodged with the Fiji High Court.
