The Vanuatu-based publisher of the Pacific Weekly Review newspaper says he hopes to relaunch the paper in May or June after deciding to suspend it because of funding problems.
Marc Neil-Jones, who runs Trading Post Limited in Port Vila, says talks are being held with potential investors to broaden its financial base.
Mr Neil-Jones says while 5-thousand copies were printed it became clear that distances between Pacific island countries called for printing arrangements to be changed.
"Prior to suspending publication we had already reached an informal agreement with the Fiji Sun newspaper and the Independent newspaper in PNG for them to print copies of the paper and distribute it on our behalf."
