Indonesian police have arrested three men in Papua province for flying a separatist flag and making speeches advocating a free Western Melanesian state.
The Antara news agnecy says the three were arrested during a street protest by about 50 people in Jayapura on Saturday.
The three - identified as Edison Waromi, Yordan Ick and Herman Wanggai - are being interrogated on suspicion of trying to undermine the state by advocating separatism - a charge that carries up to 20 years in jail.
