On Saturday night, the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra presents its annual Opera in Concert.
This year – as part of their ongoing celebrations of Beethoven for his 250th anniversary – the work in question is Beethoven’s one and only opera, 'Fidelio'.
The APO’s performances of operas are always semi-staged in the Auckland Town Hall, and for 'Fidelio' they're working with director Jacqueline Coats.
Tim Dodd caught up with Jacqueline recently to talk about the opera.
