Ingrid Hagan is the Principal Bassoon of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.

In the orchestra's next concert in their Great Classics series, she takes the soloist role playing Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto in Bb.

Coincidentally, former bassoonist Hamish McKeich conducts the Mozart and Dvorak programme which also includes Haydn “The Creation: The Representation of Chaos”, Ives “The Unanswered Question” and Dvorak’s “Symphony No 6”.

Ingrid has held the Principal Bassoon job in Auckland for ten years and spoke with Eva Radich about the complexities of the job and her expectations about playing the Mozart bassoon concerto.
