Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra - "Power and Brilliance"
Power and brilliance indeed when soloist, Ioana Cristina Goicea, joins the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra for the Violin Concerto No 1 by Shostakovich, one of his most gripping and affecting works. And the orchestra has its own ‘solo’ moment, with Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra.
The concert opens with Borodin's Overture to his opera 'Prince Igor'.
The conductor is Alan Buribayev.
