Police have charged seven people and issued 150 infringement notices following a crackdown on boy racers in Whanganui at the weekend.

Officers from around the central North Island alongside bailiffs and vehicle inspectors took part in operation swarm on 30 July.
It targeted a planned boy racer event in the city where more than 500 people were breath tested.
Six cars were seized for overdue fines and four impounded for Land Transport Act infringements.
One stolen car was recovered and 15 unsafe vehicles were written off the road.
Five people were charged with excess blood alcohol, two for failing to stop and one for breach of bail.
Seven people were either forbidden to drive or suspended from driving due to behaviour on the night or excess demerits.
Inspector Neil Forlong said anti-social behaviour on the roads would not be tolerated.
"We will continue to target people who are intent on offending," Forlong said.
