For Sports History NZ today our guest has recently called time on one of the most decorated careers in New Zealand basketball.
Tom Abercrombie recently retired from professional play after 16 seasons and 425 games with the NZ Breakers; and his number 10 jersey was retired with him.
He played in all four of the Breakers' NBL championships, won the series Most Valuable Player award in 2011, and in 2012 received All-NBL First Team honours.
He also made 110 appearances with the Tall Blacks, including at two World Cups and the Commonwealth Games.
